From The
Executive Director

We are very pleased with the opportunity here at KingsField Children's Home to try to prepare each child for whatever phase in life he/she will enter, whether this be reunification with the family, moving to a foster home, or preparing for independent living. However, many of the children - once they graduate or turn 18, are released from the child-care system and are "out on their own". Without having basic living skills, this can be very frightening.

KingsField is trying to enlarge a program that will provide Independent Living Classes/day to day living skills to the older children.

This is just one of the types of programs we offer here at KingsField and we are constantly looking for ways to let people know about the work we do and the fact that we are here to serve the children and families that are in need of our services. Maybe you'd like to be apart of this work. If you'd be interested in volunteering your time or skills, please look under the volunteer program and see what types of services are needed.

If you're unable to become an active volunteer, you may still participate in a very important way by keeping us in your prayers. With your help, the Children's Home can continue to provide a positive influence in the lives of many children, who haven't had a lot of positive events in their lives and prepare them to successfully face the challenges that arise in independent living. They will be taught how to obtain/maintain a job, open a checking/savings account and create a budget, learn to grocery shop (price compare), obtain insurance, buy a car, etc.. We want to help these young adults feel confident that they can make it on their own, when that time arises.
